Gilco Development Co., Ltd. was formed by Perry Maillis and his father, Tony Maillis, as an investment opportunity in Abaco, Bahamas. The primary focus of this father-son team has been the development of a 30 acre tract of land located in South Abaco, Gilpin Point. Gilco Development Co., Ltd. has now launched Phase II of Gilpin Point, which adds another 5 acres to the development. Each has had many years experience as boat captains and real estate investors. From apartment complexes, to restaurants, to beachfront property, they have done it all.
The dream to develop a piece of land started many years ago, and has now finally come to fruition. Through sheer determination and practical knowledge of the surrounding area, Gilco Development Co., Ltd. is on its way to achieving all objectives in future endeavors.
Gilco Development Co., Ltd. is a family oriented company whose other associates include Troy Maillis, Director of Marketing/PR; and Christopher Maillis, a member of the development and construction team.
Troy is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in public relations and a minor in business. He has several years experience with marketing and public relations, and is in the process of obtaining his real estate license. He has represented the Bahamas in two World Gymnastics Championships (2003 & 2007), and is a member of the Gymnastics Federation of the Bahamas. Christopher is an exotic tree and plant aficionado, and is in charge of vegetation development at Gilpin Point. He has his mechanic's license, and is also studying for his captain's license.
